Wolfe & Hare is a luxury interiors and gifts store located in the decor hub of Chelsea Village in Wynberg, Cape Town. Opened in August by Kizzie Stenslunde and Amelia Audinwood, the pair welcomes clients to the new home of their interior design service, where they showcase unique own brand designs and share their impeccably sourced interior products.

Audinwood, known in the industry as Amelia Mariella, combines her design skills and experience with Stenslunde’s love of styling, and together they deliver a complete service in interiors.

Whether producing her own range of vibrant fabrics, or painting original art to adorn any fine home, Zimbabwean born Amelia Audinwood’s passion for creating beautiful living spaces is born from her extensive travels across Africa, Europe, Australasia and Asia. She has lived in Sydney (where she worked with New York designer Thomas Hamel), London, Oxford (working with Stella Mannering) and now Cape Town is her home.

Kizzie Stenslunde was born in the United Kingdom and has lived in Germany, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe and England before moving to Cape Town 14 years ago. Like Audinwood, she attributes her love of design to her travels, covering places like France, Italy, India, Vietnam and Dubai.

“I  have always had a love of interiors and colour and my creative skills span painting, pottery, beading, crochet and cooking. The comfort, nesting and sense of belonging in a home is extremely important to me,” says Stenslunde.

“Wynberg’s Chelsea Village is a favourite spot of mine in Cape Town, so to set up our business in a beautiful heritage building right here, has been a huge privilege,” she says.

The pair’s interior design services range from the simplicity of reupholstering a much-loved piece of furniture, to complete interior makeovers. They have a particular talent for sourcing unique one-off pieces and enjoy nothing more than helping to fulfill the vision of their clients.

Audinwood’s strength lies in blending a client’s sense of ‘I know what I am after, but just can’t quite make it happen’, with her own eye for creating warmth, soul and personality in any family home or boutique hotel.

“We listen to our clients requirements and ideas and use our expertise in colour, design and fabric to produce a living space that they will fall in love with,” she says.

From fabrics printed from once-off designs painted by Audinwood in the name Amelia Mariella, to an exclusive kiddies’ range, authentic kitchenware, and boldly-designed homeware, Wolfe & Hare products are also available online at
