LIFE Grand Café brings you the freshest, brightest New Year’s Day bash in the country. New Year’s Eve at the 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa

Rock ‘n Roll is back! Alcazar New Year’s Eve Party 2020 

Come and see the last sunset of 2019 and the first moonrise of 2020 at the annual Alcazar NYE party, located in the shadow of Table Mountain, in the heart of Cape Town. This fairy-tale festival boasts three beautifully curated dance floors (one outdoor and two indoor), an idyllic venue, 12 hours of music by the reigning kings and queens of electronic, and performances by Olympic gymnasts and fire dancers! Dress in your favourite island-style shirt – think bold florals and flirty, pretty summer attire – and party to the tunes of DJ David Sandler and guests, while ringing in the New Year, Tom Cruise style, at Bree Street’s hippest location. New Year’s at Grub & Vine

Join Chef Matt Manning for the ultimate New Year’s Eve interactive dining experience at Chef’s Studio, Grub & Vine. Chef Matt is whipping up a decadent seven-course menu for dinner, but you’ll be helping him make it. Canapés and an amuse-bouche will be served to guests before Chef Matt demos the next two courses. You’ll join him in the kitchen and prepare these dishes, before sitting down at the dining table to enjoy your masterpieces with the other guests. You can then relax while the next couple of courses are served to you, followed by bubbly at midnight. Cost per person is R2,200, including all food and wine and kicks off at 19:00 until late, 31st December 2019. 

Alternatively, you could opt for the five-course dinner at Grub & Vine’s trendy Bistro. Sit down to a long, slow dinner with a glass of bubbly to cheer in 2020, or make the experience the “pre-game” to your midnight party. The cost is R900 to R1400 per person, 18:00 until late on 31st December 2019.

Say goodbye to the 2019 sun with Tigger 2 Boat Cruises, a 55-foot catamaran that cruises out of Cape Town harbour to Clifton. There are two cruise options to choose from. The Little Forest Festival is a psychedelic, three-day trance party and festival hosted in the thick of nature in Greyton. Tickets cost R580 per person (book online).
