Since opening in 2004, Terroir restaurant – considered modest, in comparison to many of its more glamorous peers – has been honoured nine times with a Top 10 award in the annual Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards. This is a significant achievement, considering Cape Town’s global reputation for high-quality, cutting edge food, and attests to Chef Michael Broughton and his team’s consistency and attention to detail.

Broughton is renowned for his unmatched skills as a master saucier, and the new dishes on his winter menu showcase the considerable talents of this award-winning chef.

This year Terroir restaurant has welcomed the arrival of winter with a special set menu offer that is sure to make this award-winning Stellenbosch eatery the hottest table in town as the cold sets in at an extremely pocket-friendly price.

Diners will once again receive outstanding value and can choose from either a two-course option at R295 per person or three courses at R395 per person.  This price also includes two glasses of Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection wines served with the starter and main courses.

Expect a starter of lightly smoked sea salmon trout with pickled celery and orange and sage emulsion. For mains there is a mouth-watering braised and flame grilled rack of Karoo lamb with fregola, pea and bagna càuda.  To finish, indulge in the strawberry swirl meringue with honey poached pears and pistachio. In addition, with the usual Terroir complimentary bread board and evening amuse-bouche and petit fours are dished up too.

Vegetarian diners are also well taken care of this winter, with Broughton’s hand rolled tagliatelle, truffle sauce with aubergine chips, basil and Jerusalem artichoke.

The winter special offer is valid from 2 May to 30 September 2019, for both lunch and dinner (max 10pax per booking). Individual à la carte orders can still be made, and will be charged at the listed menu price.
