Cape Town Festival of Beer 2018
The Cape Town Festival of Beer is the largest beer festival in the Southern Hemisphere and, this year, is set to bring an even greater variety of brews to the table. The festival is a celebration of local and international craft and brewing heritage and will pack a staggering 60 breweries and 200 different beers into the arena. There will also be food stalls, a kiddies area, and loads of entertainment on offer, from live rugby to live music.

Spier presents the opening ceremony of its first ever Festival of Light Art, which presents a dazzling and enchanting array of light and sound artworks, transforming the historic Stellenbosch farm into a multi-sensory, cross-cultural wonderland. “Some of the works are whimsical and flitting, ironic; some may be glimpsed at from a distance and in passing, some will require more time and interaction,” curator Jay Pather explains. “These experiences – of walking and pausing, catching a glimpse or settling down to absorb – invite us to be introspective, adventurous and playful in turn.”

Baroque Christmas @ La Motte Wine Estate

Prime Circle & Wonderboom at Inverroche
Inverroche, true pioneers of craft gin in South Africa, are collaborating with some of South Africa’s biggest names in the music industry to stage an exciting series of summer concerts to be held at their gin distillery in Still Bay (Stilbaai). The first concert will feature Prime Circle, who needs no introduction, and one of South Africa’s longest-living rock bands, Wonderboom. Ella Fitzgerald: a Century in Song
The Jazz world recently celebrated the magnificent Ella Fitzgerald’s 100th birthday and her timeless repertoire still brings joy to millions of jazz fans across the world.
