Bursting with vibrant fresh flavours the menu boasts seasonal spring and summer produce, in its freshest form. The Terra del Capo Antipasto Bar, situated on the Anthonij Rupert Wyne estate in the heart of Franschhoek, is the hidden gem where Chef HW Pieterse and his team take great care to present patrons with authentic Italian flavours, inspired by regional produce from the winelands. Choose between a selection of hot or cold antipasti or a variety of platters – perfect for sharing.
The hot selection includes dishes such as the popular crunchy Zucchini Fries with Garlic Aioli; smoked Italian sausages, made by Chef HW, served with Caponata; and Arancini stuffed with Fontina cheese and Forest Mushrooms, served with Truffle Aioli. The crisp fried Calamari with Lemon Aioli, as well as the Lamb Meatballs and Marinara Sauce, remain on the menu as popular favourites.
Cold dishes include Burrata with grilled Asparagus and melted Gremolata Butter; and a summery Peach and Plum Caprese salad. The cured, estate-raised Angus Beef and freshly ‘smoked to order’ Franschhoek Salmon Trout showcase some of the best local ingredients from the valley.
Guests have the option of sitting inside, with a view of the modern bottling line, or outside underneath the olive trees for a relaxed, al fresco dining experience.
